A few years ago, Living Word Church and World Outreach Ministry determined that it's four-building office warehouse on Fairview Avenue North had become too expensive to operate.
In a unique arrangement, Hillcrest Development, LLLP traded properties in 2019, offering the church a smaller building in Northeast Minneapolis in return for the Fairview property and an undisclosed amount of cash. Hillcrest managing partner Scott Tankenoff said the unusual deal worked, giving both parties what they wanted.
